Why Game?

Why do you game (play video games, that is,) if you do?
I typically game to relax or blow off steam.  If it's been a long and stressful day, nothing beats sitting down in front of the big screen, controller in hand, just beasting against noobs and hearing them rage in my headset each time I make one go splat (we're talking Call of Duty here.)  If I'm not in the mood for the newer maps on Black Ops 3 that I still haven't gotten used to, I'll hop over to Advanced Warfare as the servers are still usually pretty lively (they also seem more talkative on AW for some reason.)

If I stumble upon crappy server after crappy server after crappy server all chuck full of campers and wall-hackers/aim-botters, I'll call it a night and fire up some GTA5 and just go on a murdering spree.  Say what you will, but there's something very therapeutic about driving down the sidewalk or on the beach in my armored Karuma just plowing through the crowds while the cops pointless fire off shot after shot that will never connect.  Otherwise, I'll steal a helicopter, sit atop a nice tall building and snip folks down below (practicing on drivers in moving vehicles when I'm really up for some fun.)  Or hell, I might even do some jobs and make some bank, but that's rare.  This game is my go-to for just mindless, blantent, violent fun.  But even this lovely game can be annoying with online trolls just running around killing you for fun (I'll admit I'm often one of those trolls.)
So finally, when all else has failed and I'm still bent on some gaming, I love me some Fallout 4.  This game is entirely offline with a relatively low level of difficulty if you know what you're doing, so it tends to be far more relaxing.  It too, however, can make you mind-numbingly furious at times with annoying side quests that never change or end, sneak attacks from mutants carrying mini nukes, and random glitches in the world around you that can lead to getting stuck, lost, or killed.
So basically, to relieve stress, I play some of the most stressful, rage inducing games I've ever come across.  Does anyone else find this happening to them?  Is it the challenge?  The people you play against in live games?  What is it that keeps us coming back to such a stressful environment.  I think it's just those moments when you pull off some solid badassery and the other guys just wondering WTF just happened.
Let me know in the comments what games you play and what keeps you coming back to them.
